The Owl and the Pussycat
Birmingham, UK
Owls tend to get a little lonely, so I had to introduce him to a feline companion. This duo is more often known as the owl and the pussycat, though I have christened them Towel and Mat.
Inspired by Edward Lear’s poem, they were my contribution to The Big Hoot, a community art project sprawled across the city of Birmingham, UK. I was commissioned by the Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and a customised coin a slot was added to collect donations for the charity.
My design lived in the Bullring shopping centre right in the heart of Birmingham, and was specially selected to be produced as mugs and magnets too!
